Candidates chosen for County General Election

A special election on August 12 produced commissioner candidates in Districts 1 and 5 for the Emmons County General Election ballot in November.

In District 1, Jeff Magrum and Incumbent Harvey Reamann will be on the November ballot. Magrum, who was not on the primary ballot, received 79 write-in votes, while Reamann received 72 votes. Alan Svanes received 52 votes, and John Hammer received 27 votes.

Incumbent Steve Bosch, and former Commissioner Dennis Hummel will vie for District 5 Commissioner on the November 4 ballot. Bosch received 74 votes, while Hummel received 56 votes. Challengers Randy Bosch and Charles Kurzewski received 28 and 6 votes, respectively.

Incumbent Alvin Tschosik, and Michael Kunz qualified for the District 3 race in the General Election, since they were the only candidates and did not need to determine a winner in the primaries.
