Tim Haas of Linton has been selected for an internship this summer at the Emmons County Record through the North Dakota Department of Commerce Talent Development Program and the North Dakota Newspaper Association Educational Foundation.

Haas has completed his freshman year at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

A 2007 graduate of Linton High School, Haas received a four-year Presidential Scholarship to attend UND.

Haas served as a dining center supervisor on campus. He participated in both the UND Marching Band and Concert Band.

“We are pleased to have Tim on board this summer, and he has already been busy covering graduations and other events in the county,” Record Publishers Allan and Leah Burke said.

Haas is the son of the Rev. Jason and Kristine Haas of Linton.
