The Linton City Council revisited the issue of determining whether or not Class III vehicles (particularly dune buggies) can be legal to be used during its regular meeting on July 11. The Linton City Council accepted a bid of $592,600 from Associated Pool Builders, Inc. for the renovation of the Linton Municipal Swimming Pool during a special meeting on July 24. Bosch, Aug. 10, 2006 The former Stone Apartment building that once housed the Linton Hospital (1905-1944) will soon be a memory as Emmons County Commissioners are planning to demolish the building before the end of the year. Sept. 7, 2006 Don Morgan of Bismarck has been named President of BNC National Bank in Linton. Thomas Sauvage of Linton was severely burned and taken to a Minneapolis, Minn., burn center after explosions and fire destroyed the garage where he was working. Nov. 23, 2006 A Point of Dispensing Drill was held in Linton Nov. 15 and the scenario of the drill was an influenza virus which was dubbed Emmons County Flu which required a quarantine and a mass vaccination. Dec. 7, 2006 Tom and Sharon Weiser of Hazelton recently purchased the Hazelton grocery store and renamed it Weisers Village Mart.
